We’re a pretty cute bunch here at Scott Vevers, even if we do say so ourselves and as usual we will be sporting our Pudsey ears to celebrate Children In Need on the 16th November

In 2017 fundraisers collected £60.7 million for the charity, a staggering amount. There are numerous projects in and around Dorset that are supported by Children In Need grants, including the Dorset Youth Association, Home-Start and the Portland Drop in Centre.

The appeal show is an evening full of celebrities but we thought you might like to know a bit more about the famous bear who fronts the appeal for the BBC.

Pudsey made his television debut in 1985 when Terry Wogan introduced the cuddly mascot to the audience. Designed by a BBC graphics designer he was named after the West Yorkshire town.

He has changed his look over the years and has learnt many skills, including break-dancing! He was even given a friend, a pretty brown lady bear by the name of Blush back in 2009.

So if you are in Bridport on the 16th drop in and say hello, we’ll be all ears….get it……all ears!
